What materials do you offer?

We currently offer forged aluminium and forged magnesium wheels.

The right material depends on the vehicle, intended use, wheel design and the customer’s priorities around weight, strength and budget.

What types of wheels do you make?

We offer three main construction types:

Monoblock – One-piece forged wheels machined from a single forging.

Multi-Piece – Wheels made from separate components, allowing greater flexibility with sizing, offsets and finishes.

Beadlock – Designed for applications where a beadlock construction is required, particularly 4WD and off-road applications.

What is the difference between a two-piece and three-piece wheel?

Both two-piece and three-piece wheels use a bolted construction. The difference is how many individual components make up the wheel.

A two-piece wheel consists of two main components: the centre and the outer rim. The two components are bolted together to form the complete wheel.

A three-piece wheel consists of three separate components: the centre, inner barrel and outer lip. These are bolted together to form the complete wheel.

The main advantage of a three-piece wheel is the additional flexibility it gives us when building a custom fitment. The inner barrel and outer lip can be selected independently to achieve the required overall width and offset.

A two-piece wheel can still offer a highly customisable fitment while providing a slightly simpler construction.

Which one is right for me?

It depends on the vehicle, desired fitment, design and intended use.

For many applications, a two-piece wheel provides everything required. For more aggressive or highly specific fitments, a three-piece wheel gives us even more control over the final width, offset and lip profile.

Why choose forged magnesium wheels?

Forged magnesium is one of the lightest materials available for high-performance wheels, making it particularly appealing for race and performance applications.

Compared with an equivalent forged aluminium wheel, forged magnesium can offer around a 30% weight reduction, depending on the wheel design and specifications. Less unsprung and rotational weight can help improve acceleration, braking, steering response and overall vehicle performance.

The downside?

Magnesium wheels come at a premium and require more care than aluminium wheels. They’re generally better suited to customers who are chasing the ultimate performance setup rather than simply looking for a lightweight street wheel.

And then there’s the other reason people choose magnesium...

Because it’s seriously cool.

For a street car, forged magnesium is as much about exclusivity and the flex as it is about performance. It’s a material normally associated with serious motorsport and high-end performance cars, so running a set on a street car is something pretty special.

Do you offer carbon fibre barrels?

Yes. We offer Dymag carbon fibre barrels for selected two-piece and multi-piece wheel applications.

Carbon fibre barrels are a premium option for customers looking to reduce unsprung and rotational weight, particularly for race, performance and high-end builds.

We can offer different carbon fibre appearances, including the traditional woven carbon fibre finish and forged carbon, which has a unique random, marbled pattern created from chopped carbon fibre.

The traditional carbon weave gives a more recognisable motorsport look, while forged carbon has a more distinctive and modern appearance.

Carbon fibre barrels are a significant upgrade over conventional aluminium barrels and are priced accordingly. If you’re interested in a carbon fibre setup, we’ll specify the correct Dymag barrel for your application and include it in your custom quote.
